The Artoonists are back and this time they're full of air. The Artoonists
have produced a piece consisting of four large inflatables, commissioned
specifically for the festival 2003, Artoonist stylee!
These new pieces art-works will be unveiled on 12th of September at
20:00 and will be on show for the duration of the festival.
These Big Balloons are included in the inflatable sculpture route, an
outdoor art experience taking in Witte de Withstraat, the area besides
the Netherlands Architecture Institute and the Museum Park.
Harm-Jan Timmerarend blows the whole thing up, his gigantic inflatable
explosion is coming from Witte de With Centre for contemporary arts. A
12 meter high rabbit by Florentijn Hofman concludes Explosion! This rabbit
was built with the help of the local community in Vlaardingen in the project
De Strip. Where mama has her project space VVV Voorheen Volume Vlaardingen.
